Caffe Buongiorno first opened at Modbury in 1995 and, since July 2000, has been owned by brothers Robert, Sam and Brian Raslan.

Delivering excellence has always been and always will be our main aim. And getting the business to the level we have today has been a process of continual improvements over the years.

We regularly invest in new technology, create, upgrade and improve our policies and procedures, improve safety standards, provide staff training and incentives and, most of all, we attempt to create a fun and happy family environment for our customers and staff alike.

Café B (we like the shorter name!) has always served traditional Italian food ranging from pizza, pasta, lasagna, risottos to seafood, chicken and meat dishes. The biggest change to the entire menu, and the most successful, however, has been the introduction of our healthy choice options.

We listen to our customers and continually seek feedback about the quality of our food and service.

At one stage we considered changing our ordering system to full table service because, when we’re busy, we would prefer that our clients didn’t have to queue up to place their orders. However, always aware that our clients are our most important asset, we conducted a survey and found that nearly 90% of you wanted us to stay the same – it seems you like to be able to order and pay separately.

It’s always nice to win awards - Cafe B has won the Best Restaurant and Café category of The Local business Awards five times in the last seven years. We also won The Gold Award for Excellence in 2007 and repeated the win in 2008! And we’re very proud of these Awards because they’re recognition from our customers that our staff delivers outstanding efforts everyday!
